18 Karat Appraisers has conducted business in the Beverly Hills area as well as across the nation for over 20 years. We have become a well known and renowned family business in Beverly Hills due to our extensive history and experience in the jewelry appraisal and Gemology fields.
 Oscar Golbert, President of 18 Karat Appraisers, is a Graduate Gemologist, graduating from the Gemological Institute of America, (G.I.A.), in 1992 and is a member of the Gemological Institute of America Alumni Association (Diploma Member).
Oscar Golbert is also an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (I.S.A.) since 1993. He was the former director of a well known retail jewelry store on Rodeo Drive for over ten years which gives him unmatched knowledge of national and international jewelry markets. Oscar has studied the Antique and Estate Jewelry market and Watches extensively as well.
 He was recently joined by his son, Hernan Golbert, a Graduate Gemologist as well, graduating from G.I.A. in 2005. Hernan, Vice-President of 18 Karat Appraisers, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005 and became a part of the company shortly thereafter. Hernan is also a candidate member of American Society of Appraisers (A.S.A.), National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), and is a certified jewelry appraiser.
